Building a vision of health

DHI launched the first health Webisode in 2005. Since then, we have released over 500 productions through online and mobile channels.

Since its founding in 2005, Dramatic Health has stood at the forefront of high quality healthcare video production, and the online/mobile distribution of those assets.



Our clients have included major hospitals and pharmaceutical companies; the subjects of our award-winning films have ranged from leading physicians across the country, to real patients facing life-and-death situations in operating rooms. Our library, which is always growing, covers medical conditions like prostate cancer, diabetes, ADHD, Osteoporosis, Alzheimer's, Crohn's disease and dozens of others. In addition, DHI has developed two best-of-breed ASP programs, which enable the comprehensive management, online publication, viewing and tracking of any number of video assets. These proprietary programs, called BackStage™ and OnStage™, are available for licensing and are already used by many leading pharmaceutical companies and brands.

DRAMATIC HEALTH PRODUCTIONS

All DHI productions, whether projects for leading pharmaceutical and medical device brands or our non-sponsored CandidHealth™ Webisodes, share several common characteristics:

Viewer Engagement. No medium is as impactful as video. However, the vast majority of health-oriented video fails to exploit even a fraction of the medium's potential for engaging and educating viewers.

DHI content contrasts sharply with infomercials and "brochureware"; its primary function is to elicit emotion and educate. Brand messages and educational objectives are powerfully and memorably conveyed through their careful integration into the dramatic elements of plot, characters and setting. Moreover, DHI productions and distribution channels overcome the limitations of 30 and 60 second broadcast spots: imprecise addressing, limited timeframe, lack of viewer interaction, expense and controversy among physicians and regulators.

Medical Accuracy. DHI has only one business -- the production and distribution of high quality healthcare videos. It has executed dozens of major video projects for leading pharmaceutical brands. Several have been shown on national television. In doing so, and as a result of its singular business focus, DHI has earned a strong reputation for accurately and effectively addressing the stringent "fair balance" and medical accuracy requirements of Promotional Review Committee and similar internal Medical/Legal/Regulatory groups.

High Production Values. All DHI productions are shot in HD. Although usually distributed over the Internet, they are equally impactful as DVD's, on television and in other large screen formats. DHI Webisode pricing benefits from an efficient ratio of shoot days to finished production length. All Webisodes come with transcripts, carefully integrated music, closed captioning option, and multiple subjects (usually patients, physicians and caregivers).

Dramatic Arc. To view a DHI production is to immediately perceive its distinctive dramatic nature. Each episode is typically less than two minutes long. Each provides a self-contained medical education message, but is also part of a longer series building on that message. The episodes involve the viewer in the medical issues and decision-making problems faced by patients just like themselves. As a result, viewers are quick to watch the entire video, answer survey questions, subscribe to additional Webisodes and participate in related discussion forums.

BACKSTAGE™/ONSTAGE™

Commensurate with its leadership position in healthcare video, Dramatic Health has developed two ASP programs greatly simplifying video asset management and online publication. The programs, Backstage™ and OnStage™, are valuable for any digital video producer or owner, but are specifically tailored for healthcare video productions.
