At a critical time in the evolution of direct-to-consumer healthcare education and marketing, Sean has brought professional, high-impact video to some of the world’s largest health organizations, including Pfizer, Bayer, Merck, Novartis, Gilead Sciences, UCLA Medical Center, Mount Sinai Hospital System, and Weill Cornell Medical College.

Michael’s broad executive, financial and legal experience, both domestic and international, have been critical to the founding, development, and strategic success of Dramatic Health on behalf of its clients. In addition to Dramatic Health, he has co-founded and/or managed profitable companies in pharmaceutical marketing, banking, digital technology, and specialty packaging. He has headed a private equity fund with over $1 billion in assets.
Michael has served for many years on the boards of directors of public and private companies, including service on the audit and governance committees. He has played major roles in multi-billion-dollar financing projects in the U.S., as well as in Asia, Mexico, former Soviet Union countries, and elsewhere.
He has practiced law in New York, California, and Hong Kong, and retains bar memberships in New York and California. He currently serves as Chair of the Visiting Committee of the University of Chicago Law School.
Kala Paul, M.D.
Leadership Council & Medical Writing
A board-certified neurologist with broad pharmaceutical industry experience in product development and safety surveillance, Dr. Paul has been a leader and communications strategist at Dramatic Health for over a decade. She served on FDA’s Risk Communications Advisory Committee and co-authored chapters of the agency’s guide to Communicating Risks and Benefits. Dr. Paul has written and lectured extensively about creating health and medical product information, with emphasis on health literacy. Her 13-year corporate pharmaceutical career includes several NDAs, in positions at Hoffmann-LaRoche and Ciba-Geigy (now Novartis) for ethical pharmaceuticals and Whitehall-Robins for brand name, over-the-counter products. She also taught in the Drug Information Association training course on product safety surveillance for several years. Dr. Paul earned her medical degree magna cum laude, from the University of Texas Medical Branch.

Bob is widely recognized by pharmaceuticals, biotechs, medical device companies, and their agencies as a sales & marketing thought leader. A convergence media expert, he is particularly valued for developing creative marketing programs—for both professionals and consumers—that deliver measurable returns on investment. During his 25 years in digital publishing Bob co-founded HealthCentral Network, then helped it grow to 100 million organic visitors a month before its sale to major institutional investors. And as EVP at Remedy Health, Bob helped marketing partners at industry companies reach 200 million target consumers—online, in physicians’ offices, and on mobile devices. A former publisher client of Dramatic Health, he now takes proprietary pride in the remarkable effectiveness of the company’s video education for consumers and professionals. A testimony to his expertise, Bob serves on the editorial advisory board of PM360, the premier magazine for healthcare industry marketers.
Vice President, Video Strategy and Operations
Dramatic Health’s flawless record of production approvals—by marketing, legal, and compliance teams of client organizations and their brands—owes much to Lauren’s experienced and rigorous management. In addition to the complex of duties essential to efficient video production, her responsibilities include developing the detailed guidelines for productions that contribute substantially to time and cost savings for clients. These capabilities doubtless owe something to her background in journalism and film/tv production, as does her thorough documentation of the best practices arising from each production. All clients ultimately benefit from these practices, which guide strategy implementation, production techniques, approval processes, and more.
Senior Director, Video Strategy, Patient Recruitment, & Operations
Tom’s responsibilities run from the research underlying strategy development for productions to meticulous monitoring of their effects to determine value and success. The research includes industry and market investigation to assure a video strategy that matches the client organization’s objectives, then uncovering the data associated with the techniques of filming, editing, and scoring. Tom’s work in recruiting subjects—patients, physicians, and others—further informs the information base for productions. Likewise, his work on pilots informs optimal subject selection, design, location, cost efficiencies, and brand messaging. His monitoring responsibilities include capturing all the particulars of run times, views, likes/dislikes, as well as secure, up-to-date collection and storage of every asset, clip, sound effect, sound byte, and graphic.
Head of Post-Production and Multicultural Productions
Post-production, the final, critical process in video production, demands expertise, organization, and a sense of urgency. Rolando and his team work closely with both Dramatic Health’s video strategy and operations managers and with the teams of client organizations, their brands, and their agencies. They gain marketing, legal, and regulatory approvals efficiently and seamlessly, while meeting client objectives for target audiences and desired effects. Rolando also has responsibilities for managing and maintaining video assets, and for their nomenclature, encoding, and storage. In addition, he embodies Dramatic Health’s strong commitment to multicultural productions. Most often, he collaborates with brand teams and agencies to create and deliver approved and engaging Spanish-language videos.

In more than 25 years as a marketer Jeff has launched and built health and wellness brands and consumer products—both as a manufacturer and as leader of healthcare communications agency teams. A proven connector and coach, he combines strategic, creative, and analytical talent with broad product-category knowledge, health-tech fluency, and brand marketing experience, to create demonstrable value for client organizations. Some of Jeff’s knowledge and expertise comes from his stints as an advertising agency leader of account management teams at major New York healthcare/digital agencies. And he brings that experience—at Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare, Grey Healthcare, Rosetta, Publicis, and Havas Healthcare—to Dramatic Health’s clients.
